Terms of Service

You need to be at least 18 and in the United States. Give us a real email address, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else got into your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

Ahead shows where your money is headed: your bills and paychecks by month, and where your checking account is likely to land. Those are estimates built from what you type in and what your bank reports, and they can be wrong. Banks post late, bills change, and typos happen.

Ahead isn’t a bank, a lender, or a financial, tax, legal, or investment advisor, and nothing in it is professional advice. It can’t move money or pay bills for you. Decisions about your money are yours, so double-check anything important before you act on it.

When you connect an account, you let us and Plaid read your account information (balances, transactions, and statement details) on your behalf. Read-only: Ahead can’t make payments or transfers. Only connect accounts you’re allowed to access.

Plaid provides the connection under its own terms and the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. How complete and current your data is depends on your bank and Plaid. You can disconnect any account anytime on the Accounts page.

Some features use AI, like Ask Ahead and what-if scenarios. AI answers can be wrong or incomplete, so treat them as suggestions and check them before relying on them. Ahead’s own code does the math, not the AI. You can switch AI off anytime with “Let AI help” in Plan settings. Our Privacy Policy explains what AI features see.

• Free trial. New accounts get every feature, AI included, free for 14 days, with no card needed. When the trial ends, you’ll need a plan to keep using Ahead. Your data stays put in the meantime.
• Plans and prices. Current plans and prices are on our pricing page and shown again at checkout, before you pay. Prices are in US dollars, plus any tax that applies.
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically every month or every year, depending on what you picked, until you cancel. Stripe charges your payment method at the start of each period.
• Canceling. Cancel anytime from Plan & billing. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds. Payments aren’t refundable, including for partly used periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
• Switching plans. Switch anytime from Plan & billing. The difference is prorated.
• Price changes. If we change a price, we’ll email you at least 30 days before it affects your subscription, so you can cancel first if you’d like.
• Failed payments. If a payment doesn’t go through, Stripe tries again. If it still fails, access may pause until your payment details are updated.

What you put into Ahead is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Ahead for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can erase it anytime.

Please don’t:

• use Ahead for anything illegal, or to access accounts that aren’t yours;
• try to break into, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer Ahead, or get around its limits or security;
• resell Ahead or use it to build a competing product;
• use the AI features to make anything harmful, or to try to trick them into ignoring their rules.

Ahead’s software, design, name, and logo belong to RJ Media Studios. While you follow these terms, you can use Ahead for your own personal finances. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

Ahead relies on services like Plaid, Stripe, Supabase, and Vercel. We aren’t responsible for their outages or for what they do under their own terms.

We’re always improving Ahead, which means features may change or go away. If we ever shut Ahead down entirely, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any time you’ve prepaid but won’t get to use.

You can stop using Ahead anytime. Cancel your subscription and erase your data in the app, or email info@rjmediastudios.com to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts Ahead or other people at risk. Where it makes sense, we’ll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Ahead is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that Ahead will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We aren’t responsible for decisions you make based on Ahead, including overdrafts, late fees, or missed payments.

To the fullest extent the law allows, RJ Media Studios won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about Ahead is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

If someone brings a claim against RJ Media Studios because of how you used Ahead or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover the resulting costs, including reasonable legal fees.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If something goes wrong, email us first and we’ll try to sort it out in good faith within 30 days. If we can’t, either of us can take it to the state or federal courts in New Jersey, or to small claims court if it qualifies.

If we change these terms, we’ll update the date at the top. For changes that matter, we’ll email you or tell you in the app before they take effect. Using Ahead after that means you accept the new terms.

These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Ahead. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce something right away, we haven’t given up the right to. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else; we can, as part of a merger or sale of Ahead.
